Game Synopsis.

HK-47’s biography.

Personality:

Sadistic and cruel, HK-47 was built by and as the personal protocol and assassin droid to the Sith Lord Revan. Everything that comes out of his “mouth” is typically insulting or belittling of those around him that aren’t his master. In fact, the one time he started referring to Malak as “meatbag” Revan had laughed so hard that he programmed HK to refer to all organic beings as such. And, for a droid, HK has an advanced personality matrix that actually allows him to act on certain feelings and enjoy the wanton destruction he often causes. And he enjoyed observing it too. When Revan first purchased HK-47 from Yuka Laka, one of the first things the droid commented on performing some “unadulterated violence” for his Master and displayed a deep understanding and knowledge of how to kill people. He also displays thorough knowledge on how to kill Jedi.

HK-47 can be respectful though… If you’re his master. And since he has Revan back, fully, he won’t recognize anyone else as such. He doesn’t even respect T3-M4 and often insults to astromech droids as well. During a mission for assassination though, HK-47 can behave like any normal protocol droid. And I say normal because deep under all the politeness and good behavior, he’s been plotting someone’s death since he first heard their name.

Even so, HK-47 takes particular pride in his line of work, even expressing disappointment when an assassination doesn’t go just right. Otherwise, he’s sarcastic, crude and incredibly bloodthirsty. Even going so far, at one point, as to suggest to Revan that they find someone to kill to cheer themselves up! He also takes pleasure in torture (this is only seen in cut content from KotOR 2 but it is part of him that the game creators had made, programmed, rendered and then cut off from the main portion of the game due to time constraints. So it is in there, but can only be accessed in PC versions of the game. And since droids don‘t “evolve” that means it’s a part of his programming from the start.) and expresses some horror at being non-violent or pacifistic.

"Statement: But you said so yourself. You have just admitted your own weakness. You have just shown me your soft, meatbag-like underbellies, and said, "HK-47, please shoot me repeatedly there until I die."

Not only that, but he is also very intelligent. When faced with the issue of not being able to destroy the HK-50 droids due to his own self-preservation protocol and their own, he goes to find another solution. That solution turns out to be turning off all facility communications, accessing the munitions bay and workshop area, wiping part of his own memory and operating on his behavioral core to alter his self-preservation protocol. Now this would start getting exciting, he could destroy the HK-50 units. Obviously he’s a lot less obsolete than those units gave him credit for if he was smart enough to find a way to destroy them.

Word to the wise: don’t befriend HK-47 (or try to befriend, as the cases are likely to be) unless you can handle his bloodthirst and love for destroying and killing others. It’s not as healthy for you as it is for him.

Surprisingly, HK-47 is capable of lying. A function that would be necessary for an assassination droid and since he was often mistaken for a protocol droid due to the design of his body, it would often work to his advantage. He also prefers to work as though assassination is an art form, making things stand out without being overdone. With that, is his speech trait where he would add “Statement” or “query” or some other descriptive prefix to the beginning of everything he said.

Other than that, HK-47 is arrogant. He believes he’s better than humans meatbags. The only person that he doesn’t think he’s better than is Revan and that’s not only because Revan built and programmed him but because Revan committed various “creative atrocities” while he was Sith Lord. And because of that, HK-47 has a much greater dislike for Malak than he previously had since Malak isn’t creative at all. And kind of a loser. He also believes that cheating is only a “relevant term” for when one is caught. Otherwise, it’s intelligence.

Abilities:

Being a smartass, sarcastic and crude. I guess that doesn’t count, does it?

This basically covers it.
